Thursday night

Phillipsburg's 26-23 win over Delaware Valley was a thriller Wednesday night. If you're a Delaware Valley fan, you're wondering why the Terriers couldn't have stolen at least one of the close losses they suffered. A tremendous crowd by the way -- closer to 1,100 in Alexandria.

Delaware Valley coach Brent Conly had to feel a great opportunity had slipped through his team's hands.

Bernards' 66-0 loss at Hackettstown Wednesday night did feature one great match. Previously unbeaten Bernards' enior Rich Russoniello was beaten 3-1 by Taylor Ulm at 135. If Russoniello can stay healthy, he's going to be the third Bernards wrestler to place high at the state tournament next month, joining graduated stars Greg Hart and Pat Riley. Hart was third at 125 and Riley was fourth at 140 last year.
